Flying from #SanFrancisco to #NewYorkCity in a #solar plane

The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing powered flight possible.  They built the world’s first successful airplane making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight, on December 17, 1903.  More than a hundred years later we have the new-age Wright brothers – Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg who built Solar Impulse, a solar-powered airplane that flew across the United States.  This will help promote clean technologies that will help mitigate the effects of global warming and widespread pollution problems that the world is facing.  Read on….
